Your new company
Following the merger of Wexham, Heatherwood and Frimley Park hospital in 2014, Frimley Health Foundation Trust was formed. Frimley Health Foundation Trust are embarking on a strategic Digital Transformation programme that aims to deliver an Infrastructure of the future, transforming the current enterprise application estate. We are looking to appoint a Head of Network Support to lead and supervise a team of IT Network Support specialists, who provide expert level support and maintenance to the Trusts Network and Infrastructure services.

Your new role
Reporting into the IT Service Manager you will lead and supervise a team of IT network support specialists and provide expert level support and maintenance of the network infrastructure and network services on the main campus and all offsite locations. In addition, the provision of support and advice to other IT staff, Trust managers and end-users on the use and management of IT network hardware and software.

The role has key responsibility for the following areas in relation to the Trust networks:
  • Service management – delivery of an effective network service that support over 5000 users at the HWPH site over fixed and wireless devices
  • Standards and documentation
  • Policies and procedures
  • Change management
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
  • Security
  • Testing
  • Risk management
  • Vendor management

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with team leadership, mentoring and management skills who has experience of supporting LAN technologies. Experience in design, installation and commissioning of highly complex data network systems is also essential as well as specialist technical knowledge of best practice in the field of security and network systems. You must have CCNP level knowledge of IP networking or equivalent experience and expert knowledge of Checkpoint, Juniper and Cisco ASA Firewalls. You will have expert knowledge of remote access techniques including RAS and VPN techniques and proactive systems and applications monitoring techniques.
