Senior Account Manager in IT, full time permanent in York. £35,000 to £40,000 plus attractive bonus structure

Your new role
Due to company growth SBL are looking to appoint a Senior Account Manager in to their established sales team. With a primary focus on New Business Development, you will be a natural networker with the ability to directly identify and develop new prospects whilst account managing and growing some existing accounts on a national platform. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited too):

  • Identifying and developing prospect clients into customer spending accounts through the direct account management of new and existing customer relationships. You will be expected to deliver on key business and individual targets whilst promoting a range of SBLs products and services. You will be required to identify new business opportunities and maintain regular contact with both prospect and existing customers.
  • You will develop strong relationships with all internal SBL departments to enable the direct allocation of internal resources to your sales projects.
  • You will provide the Group Sales Manager and/or CEO with regular business progress reports and sector intelligence updates.
  • SBLs focus on Services means that you will develop sales opportunities through relationships with new customers and identifying opportunities to provide a full solution to the customer in conjunction with the in-house Professional Services Team.
  • You will develop your network of prospects, existing customers and suppliers through attending relevant marketing events throughout the year, using such opportunities to develop future prospects and contribute to business growth.
  • You will maintain SBLs quality of service by developing a thorough, detailed and current knowledge of SBLs product and services portfolio.
SBLs unique approach to solutions based sales ensures they are understanding and meeting customers tailored and specific requirements. You will need to understand customers' diverse and individual needs and apply the appropriate product or service to meet those needs.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have relevant B2B Development experience with demonstrable key successes in your field. You will have a track record of creativity, innovation and delivery against defined sales targets. You will have a proven track record of solutions based selling in the industry with a basic understanding of IT infrastructure. Skills/Experience Required:
  • Degree level and/or significant B2B sales experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proposal and report writing skills.
  • Track record of creativity, innovation and sales target delivery.
  • Business Development and Account Management experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence. (UK wide travel will be required as part of this role)
