A leading retail bank with an established national presence, and a recognised commitment to being one of the country’s top employers is seeking to expand its Financial Crime Risk Team in multiple locations including Edinburgh and Manchester. This team is responsible for ensuring various departments are successfully mitigating Financial Crime risks by using the systems, tools and controls at their disposal. Operating within an ambitious and driven environment, as a Financial Crime Analytics Lead you’ll further be given the opportunity to get involved in the implementation of a new Target Operating Model supporting other teams in their risk assessments.

Your new role
As a Financial Crime Analytics Lead, you will play a crucial role within the Financial Crime Risk team, supporting the growth, upkeep and optimisation of the Financial Crime systems and framework through the provision of technical input. You will report to the Financial Crime Analytics Manager. Further responsibilities include:

  • Financial crime analysis and data manipulation regarding threat assessment, issue management and Financial Crime planning and budgeting.
  • Work with various suppliers to identify any shortfalls within systems performance and further monitor and resolve these for maximum optimisation.
  • Consistent review and optimisation of system performance.
  • Re-design and implementation of fresh rules in response to evolving threats.

What you'll need to succeed
Recent experience in Financial Crime working in either the First or Second line managing the risk of Financial Crime through system configurations is essential. Further, experience within analytics or intelligence work is necessary. Additionally, a vast and detailed knowledge of UK Financial Crime regulations/standards is crucial, with knowledge within retail banking preferred. You must hold good communication and stakeholder management skills and hold a financial crime qualification.

What you'll get in return
As a Financial Crime Analytics Lead you will receive a salary paying up to £45,000 as well as a competitive benefits package. This includes an annual bonus scheme, colleague discount and company share schemes. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with an option to purchase more if needed.
