This a a specialist service that provides support and guidance for missing children.Somebody goes missing in the UK every 90 seconds. This is a non-judgemental group, highly skilled team of staff and volunteers who work around the clock for all that require their specialist support. They provide 24 hour confidential support, help, advice by either phone, text pr online communications including the opportunity to reconnect with missing family and friends. 

Your new role
As the Team, Leader you will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of the Return Home Interview and one to one support service for young people within the Hertfordshire region. 

You will co-ordinate and line manage a team of staff who will meet with and support the children and young people once they return to home or to care following a missing episode. You will ensure the service is delivered to a high standard achieving positive outcome for young people referred to the services. 

You will be first point of contact  for all local partners and represent the charity on a local safeguarding meetings where you will work, assess and design a response to some of Hertfordshire's most vulnerable children.

  • Responsible for coordinating operations across Hertfordshire Services, including assessment allocation and review of the referrals
  • Responsible for the line management and supervision of a team of Return to Home Interviewers 
  • Fostering positive relationships with local partners and to be main point of contact for operational matters across the Hertfordshire
  • To join the Development and Partnerships on-call team, providing safeguarding support across a variety of commissioned services and projects.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will be an experienced practitioner with experience of supporting vulnerable children and young people, ensuring successful safeguarding outcomes are achieved whilst remaining children and young people focused.
  • You will have experience in team leading and be motivated to support and develop individuals.
  • You will be competent and comfortable working closely with statutory agencies and partners, understanding their needs and balancing these with the need to advocate for missing children and families in a variety of settings.
