Strategy & Development Manager required for Fintech Payments firm to drive sales and build partnerships


The Company: 

One of the fastest growing FinTech firms in Europe is keen to bring in a Strategy & Development Manager to play a strategic lead in developing their strategic partnerships with a range of financial services infrastructure firms on a global basis. 

As a specialist in retail & commercial payments, the firm has a sales force in Europe of over 700 people and has grown beyond the expectations of the board. They are now in a position to build their presence in new markets such as the Middle East and the USA. The demand for their product range is huge and ranges from sole traders to retailers with a national presence.

The Role

Change within the Payments sector has been phenomenal over the last 20 years as people switch from cash & cards, to web-based payments, smart-phones, I-watches and more. New technology advances mean that the processing of transactions and settlements is now completed at lightning speed and can be conducted anywhere in the world instantaneously. 

As a Strategy & Development Manager, you will work closely with the Group Head of Strategy to define growth plans, identify key partners to approach, create value propositions, develop relationships and present coherent partnership strategies that are win-win and designed to be long-lasting. 

The candidate: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a client facing role (Relationship Management, Channel Sales, Corporate Finance or Investment Banking)
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • Very strong financial acumen (DCF Modelling or Advanced Excel skills are a distinct advantage)
  • Knowledge of co-branded partnerships and the inherent mechanics of these processes would also be a distinct advantage. 
  • Confidence negotiating with clients / partners to achieve win-win results
  • Strong commitment / drive and ambition
  • Demonstrable experience winning and closing deals.  
  • The ability to translate technical financial information into logical and interesting pitches.  
  • University degree (2:1 or better)

This is a fantastic role for an ambitious Relationship Manager who has the drive to open new opportunities for the firm and be critical in the development of strategic partnerships.
