Manager, Data Governance

Manager, Data Governance Specialist 12 month contract

The team supports the global organisation  to ensure the quality of the organisations data is accurate
The main purpose of the role is to provide support and training to the business data teams, this requires good project management experience as it often requires the coordination of multiple business teams globally.

  • This will include supporting Business Data Owners by defining the processes for sourcing and management of data, quality controls, timeliness, service level agreements required for data delivery and data quality and associated KPIs which they should adhere to
  • To lead / project manage the resolution of the global organisation’s data issues and small scale enhancements 
  • Proven experience of managing senior stakeholders and chairing steering committees
  • Proven training and coaching skills 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Structured process mapping skills
  • Previous experience of working at a senior level within an operational or technology role
  • Previous experience of influencing major technology change programmes and stakeholders distributed across a global financial services business
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation skills
  • Experience with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, Solvency II
  • An understanding of Data Architecture, Data Lifecycles, Data Quality Standards and Logical Data Modelling practices
