This well-known bank in Sydney, Australia is in the process of building out their Financial Crime Services (FCS) division, which is responsible for the development and implementation of the group’s financial crime shared services. These are permanent opportunities based in Western Sydney, working on a high-profile program, for a big brand. The team are growing at a rapid rate, and is being lead by some of the industry’s most experienced professionals, providing you a great opportunity to learn and develop in your career.

Your new role
Your team’s key focus includes detection, assessment and escalation of financial crime matters such as: AML, Bribery and Corruption, Market Abuse and Transaction Fraud. Your role will include:

  • Conducting Enhanced Customer Due Diligence on alerts raised
  • Assess and investigate events in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Promptly escalating issues / risks identified within specified SLAs
  • Being a subject matter expert in AML/CTF and Sanctions
  • Delivering a high-standard of service to internal/external clients
  • Providing support and assistance to wider FCS team as and when required

What you'll need to succeed
To be considering for this opportunity, you will demonstrate the following;

  • Full work rights for Australia 
  • Experience in a similar role previously
  • A sound understanding of Financial Crime risks
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to make decisions in line with business needs
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to adapt to change and a strong capability for multi-tasking
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and deliver tasks in a timely manner
