Key Worker - Children in Care / Coming out of the Care System, With a Leading Charity, 3 Month Contract

A leading Charity whose mission is to ensure every person can make a positive contribution to society no matter what their past or background has been. This role focuses on children and young people who are coming out of the care system and will focus on enabling them to become independent and build a positive future. 

Your new role
As a Key Worker you will play an integral part of the team delivering this 3 month project. You will work directly with individuals of the age of 14-23 who are coming out of care and displaying extremely challenging behaviour and complex needs. You will also build good working relationships with those upon whom service users depend e.g. extended family members, neighbours, local community workers to ensure effective interventions for the benefit of the service user. 

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 4 in Youth Work or related discipline
  • FULL Driving Licence with access to a car 
  • NISCC registration
  • Enhanced Access NI
  • It is desired but not essential that you will have previous experience in supervising volunteers or support staff, and have experience in working within rights based provision and promoting good relations

What you'll get in return
3 month contract with a forward thinking and progressive charity, Pro Rata hourly rate equivalent to a salary of £21,618, weekly pay, free Access NI and fantastic experience working with children and young people.
