Your new role

  • As a dynamic Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to lead our Domestic Abuse Advocacy service in Chelsea and Westminster hospital. 
  • You will have experience of staff management and an understanding of working in a Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) context. 
  • Your main responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the IDVA provision at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and supporting the wider London team, developing and motivating staff, ensuring effective promotion of the service and strong partnership working within the Tri-Borough and the Hospital Trust. 
  • This post will be predominantly based in Chelsea and Westminster hospital, but will require travel across Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster boroughs


What you'll need to succeed
  • To be successful in this role you will need to apply knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system in order to manage the delivery and development of domestic abuse services.
  • You will need a proven ability in managing and developing innovative domestic abuse services in accordance with SafeLives minimum standards, agreed service levels stipulated by funders and also in line with policies and procedures stated by the service provider on which you are acting on behalf
  • You will have experience in keeping accurate records and statistics in a form which is accessible and useful to funders and the local senior management team
  • You will have a proven ability in managing and developing referral allocation and case management systems that prioritise the safety of clients
