An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients service who specialises in the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Services for a Family Safeguarding Team Recovery Worker.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team within the Luton’s Children’s’ Social Work Service delivering comprehensive substance misuse interventions to families affected by substance misuse where children are subject to Children Protection or Child in Need Plans.

Your new role
The Recovery Worker will have specific responsibility for working with the wider Family Safeguarding team to support families affected by substance misuse where children are subject to Children Protection (CP) or Child in Need Plans (CIN).

The focus of all interventions will be to reduce substance related harm to the individual and their children and reduce the negative impact on children and families of parental substance misuse and associated lifestyle factors.

The post holder will offer and deliver interventions that will holistically support families to enter and move through integrated, recovery oriented substance misuse services, increasing their opportunities to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes within Luton.

You will have experience of delivering a full range of outreach, groups and case management services, supporting medically assisted recovery where appropriate, and recovery interventions that adhere to best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards ensuring service users consistently receive high quality services.

Experience working within a similar role within substance misuse services or Family Support.
Must be wanting a permanent job this is not a contract role
