Temporary Corporate Actions Analyst Position


Your new role

Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Corporate Actions Analyst will include the following:
  • Identifies and suggests process improvements and drive through to implementation
  • Supporting Manager in optimising team performance through provision of ongoing, regular performance feedback to team members on both productivity and accuracy
  • Working with Manager to design training plans for all staff and to take responsibility for the roll out of these
  • Participate in daily huddles and lead on these in Team Managers absence
  • Assists in the implementation of validated process improvements
  • Ensure the timely event reporting of breaches and incidents and identification and implementation of preventative measures when issues arise
  • Identifying areas for improvement, putting plans in place to address and delivering results against plans
  • Assist in the clearance of transactional-related stock and cash breaks
  • Leads and facilitates the overseeing and completion of all Corporate Actions
  • Allocation and monitoring of workloads highlighting any concerns or risk of service failures to Team Manager immediately
  • Pick up key tasks in Team Managers absence to ensure continuation of service
  • Involvement in production of MI in team and working with Team Manager to ensure trends and learning are understood and improvement plans put in place as appropriate
  • Assist Team Manager in ensuring that up-to-date, written procedures and controls for existing and new business are in place and reviewed as per schedule
  • Anticipates and responds to requests and deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors
  • Investigating and responding to queries from Fund Managers and Stockbrokers
  • Escalating to line manager any suspected transactional issues, failures or potential losses
  • Raising & responding to client queries/issues
  • Work in full compliance with established processes
  • Operating within strict regulatory timescales, agreed business SLAs and confidentiality standards
  • Participates in ad hoc projects as defined by Team Manager
  • Applies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area
  • Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analysing and/or evaluating processes and data
  • Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies
  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with other teams within Wrap Operations and various internal stakeholders
  • Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity
  • Controlling indirect tasks within team to ensure that all carried out on time
In addition, other duties may be required from time to time in response to specific business needs.



What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Basic level experience in a related role (combination of education/experience)
  • Previous experience in a Trading, Confirmation or Settlement related role is desirable

    Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Process improvement awareness
    • Able to cope effectively with high volumes of work whilst maintaining an exceptional service level
    • Relationship building skills
    • Advanced level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint preferred
    • Excellent organisation, planning, prioritisation and time management skills
