Processing Officer

Prestigious Bank based in the City are seeking an individual to add value and experience to their busy team for a 6 month contract
Excellent communication skills , self confidence and a desire to learn are all key attributes
Banking experience is essential

Responsibilities include to carry out the processes to make and receive regular and irregular payments in sterling and currency.
Act as the primary point of contact for account opening, maintenance, closures, online banking and account switching and to carry out cashiering, travel till, safekeeping & cheque book functions.

Customer service
Online Banking & Mobile- enrolling customers, dealing with queries, presenting to customers.
Closures- Closing customer records and accounts
Account Switching- switching customers accounts in and out of the bank
Customer & account maintenance- opening and maintaining customers accounts/records

Direct debit origination- setting up customers, liaising with suppliers
Credit clearing- repairing items
Bulk payments- manual input of salary/supplier payments, dealing with online submissions
Sterling & Foreign remittance- sending all types of payments
Cheque handling- Foreign cheque collection

Travel till- arranging collection/delivery of currency orders, dealing with suppliers, balancing.
Safe keeping- Taking receipt/releasing items and maintaining records.

Customer service administration- managing a range of card accounts.
Fraud management- Monitoring risk management system for fraud
Settlements & clearing- reconciling files & producing reports
