Assistant Accountant

Renewable Energy business seeking progressive Assistant Accountant in central London paying up to £28k

Based in the heart of East London surrounded by bars, restaurants and Cafes, there is a team of 20 strong in the head office. A highly supportive structure that promotes development and success. The company is made up of 100+ entities and have invested over £300m in to energy infrastructure.

Your new role
You will be working as an Assistant Accountant reporting straight in to one of the CFOs of the business, sitting in a wider finance team of 10. It is a highly varied role where you will be given responsibility over 20 business entities. Some of the accounts for these entities are currently outsourced so you will be responsible for the in-house transition. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing the accounts to trial balance - purchase and sales ledger management
- Statement reconciliations
- Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
- Monthly reporting with analysis
- Assistance of P&L and Balance Sheet production and review
- Resolving finance queries
- Month end duties - accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Meter reading analysis
- Use of TAS Books system and Excel.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be competent completing accounts up to trial balance and ideally have dealt with multi-entity accounting. You should have 3+ years experience in accounts and have at least assisted with the production of the monthly management accounts and month end closure procedures. It will be a big selling point to my client if you have experience bringing the accounts in-house from an outsourced provider and have used TAS Books previously. You should be ambitious, personable and have a strong attention to detail. This role will suit someone who is AAT qualified or in the early-mid stages of their ACCA/CIMA.
