Your new company
Hays Education have specialised in secondary education in West Sussex for a number of years, and have built up established long-standing relationships with a number of secondary schools in West Sussex. We work closely with these schools to provide support with all of their staffing needs, for day-to-day and long-term supply in addition to permanent recruitment. Hays have become well-respected and a market leader in many areas through a constant focus on providing outstanding customer service to both teachers and schools.
Your new teaching job
In your new Science teaching job you will enjoy working within various secondary schools situated across the West Sussex area and will be offered assignments across Key Stage Three to Key Stage Five. Working as a Science Teacher for Hays will allow you to have access to a number of partnership schools that would be inaccessible by any other means, and you will be given the opportunity to focus on teaching in the Key Stage you specialise in.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Science Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of each assignment, plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year. You will receive free, up to date safeguarding training and the option to join our ‘guarantee pay scheme’ is also possible. You will enjoy working within a variety of secondary schools and will receive the benefits of working with your own personal secondary teaching consultant who specialises in the areas across West Sussex. If you know of other education professionals looking for supply, long term or permanent work, you can also receive £250 worth of vouchers every time you recommend a colleague to Hays Education.
